Once upon a time, an old man offered two hungry people a fishing rod and a basket of living fish.
One of them had the basket of fish and the other chose the fishing rod. Then they departed separately.
The person who got the basket of fish made a fire with some dry branches to boil the fish. He was so hungry that he swallowed all the fish including the soup before he could taste the flavor of the fish. It was not long before he died of hunger beside the empty basket.
The other person still suffered from hunger and headed for the beach with heavy steps with the fishing rod in his hand. However, when he saw the blue sea, he was so exhausted that he couldn’t move. Finally, he died with regrets, too.
There are another two hungry people who got the same things from the old man. What’s different is that they didn’t say goodbye to each other. They decided to go to the beach together; they boiled only one fish each time. After a long and hard journey, they finally reached the sea.
From then on, the two people started to make a living by catching fishes.
Several years later, they built their own houses, had families and their own fishing boats. Both of them led a happy life.
