When a group of workers were working on the railway, a train was approaching slowly and then stopped. A deep and kind voice came out of the last window of the train, “Is that you, David?”
David Anderson, the leader of the group, answered, “It’s me, Jim. I’m very glad to meet you!”
Then David and Jim Murphy, president of the railway company, had a very pleasant conversation. After about one hour, they said goodbye to each other.
David was surrounded by his co-workers. They were very surprised to know David was a friend of the president!
David told them that about twenty years ago, he and Jim started to work on the railway on the same day.
“Why are you still working here under the sun, but Jim is the president?” someone interrupted.
He looked very sad, and then said, “Twenty years ago, I worked for$1.75 per hour, but Jim Murphy didn’t work for money, he worked for the whole line.”
